Message from the President of The Kiwanis Club of Kent

I thank you for visiting our website. Please explore the pages to learn more about our club.

Our club was originally established in 1930. Over the years our club has done miraculous things in the Kent and surrounding communities. We are the original Kiwanis Club in Kent, where there are three Kiwanis Clubs over all. Together all our clubs work together to help make the City of Kent a better place. Our members are a diversified group of community people who truly care about what, how and where our people and community are going.

I am so proud that my friends, peers and mentors have chosen me to be the leader of this club and I will do my best to move Kiwanis ahead and into the future generations to follow.

I want to thank my family for supporting me through the years I have been a member and club leader.

I know the year ahead has big plans for growth and service in our community. We have a great team of members who are always willing to step up and lend a hand. We are a unique group of service club members who are not afraid to get in, get dirty and get the job done. Please check back as our year goes on to view our accomplishments as we go.

The board I have chosen for my leadership year is full of knowledge, diversity and hard workers. We'll be able to touch on a wide variety of needs.

Members, both new and long time, be assured these people will take care of our club as we move ahead in the goal of having 100,000,000 members in Kiwanis around the world.

Come and check out a meeting. You'll be glad you did! You'll have a good time!

Fridays at noon at the Golden Steer.

Sincerely,
Brian Hanis
Kiwanis Club of Kent President 09/10

Mark your calendars

Did you know?

2007 marked 20 years women have been able to be members of Kiwanis. Originally, Kiwanis was exclusively a men's club, as were many of the service clubs, but it was  realized the value and contributions women make throughout the world. This was the best decision Kiwanis ever made. Thank you ladies!
